About
Manhunt GInput adds full controller support to the PC version of Manhunt, including analog movement, camera and aiming controls, menu navigation and controller prompts. Keyboard and mouse remain available, and prompts follow the active input device.
Features
Four layouts: classic PS2, Xbox one-stick, Xbox two-stick and Modern.
Remappable buttons and button combinations.
Sensitivity, dead zone and camera inversion settings.
PlayStation and Xbox icons with automatic controller detection.
Rumble for game events, executions, damage and selected environmental interactions.
DualShock 4 and DualSense lightbar feedback.
Intro video skipping and console cheat codes.
Button icons are independent of the control scheme. Additional options disable camera recentering in one-stick schemes or make strafe speed follow trigger pressure. Pressure-sensitive strafing requires the corresponding actions to be bound to triggers.
Controls and Settings
Layouts, bindings and common options are available on the gamepad page in the controls menu. Changes save automatically. Advanced options are in the single ManhuntGInput.ini, with English and Russian comments.
Built-in interface languages and external UTF-8 translations through MHLL are supported. A translation template is included.
Requirements and Installation
Requires Manhunt for Windows—the Steam version was tested—a 32-bit ASI loader, and an XInput controller or DualShock 4/DualSense.
Install the ASI and INI together in the game folder or scripts. Copy data into the game directory for button textures and the translation template. Back up your INI before updating and keep only one ASI copy. See README_RU_ENG.txt for details.
Compatibility and Limitations
DualShock 4 and DualSense support direct USB and Bluetooth input without a required XInput translator. Software hiding the physical HID device may interfere with direct access.
Manhunt Achievements and MHMic are installed separately and can use GInput’s controller state and prompts. The new rumble effects still require complete in-game testing.
Bug Reports
Enable EnableLogging=1 under [Gamepad], restart and reproduce the issue. Save ManhuntGInput.log before launching again and attach it to your report. Restore the setting to 0 afterwards.
