I hope this is the right forum section to ask this question. I am talking about this file ("Update patch(2015 v2)") here: https://www.moddb.com/mods/manhunt-2-pc-extended-executions-with-static-camer/downloads. Inside the archive, there is a folder named "#IMPORTANT_FILES" which contains a handful of files. The readme says to put them into their respective sub-directory inside the global folder. The problem is that some of them have no existing counterpart so there is no way for me to tell where I actually need to place them.

I would appreciate some help here, I have not found anything on this and would rather make sure everything is installed correctly before starting a playthrough.

Are u talking about "#dummy#resource28.glg" and "#optional#mh_fx_pc.tex" ? Thats alternative variations, optional, u can just remove "#...#" and replace it with the original ones. (resource28.glg and mh_fx_pc.tex)
